What’s Going On?

A lot has happened since our last post. We left off with baby dresses that we put up for sale on Etsy. In case you haven’t seen them yet, you can find them up on the menu or here.

This past year was big for me and my family. I got married last year in early September and it was the best day ever. I was so terrified while planning that something would go wrong the day of, but we were in good hands with our event coordinator at Above Rooftop. Below are some pics to share with you all.

My mom didn’t make my wedding dress but she did fix the bottom of it. I had the first layer taken out completely because I didn’t want too much lace. I loved the style of my dress but I wanted something simpler at the bottom. I also took out some organza layers to make the dress a little lighter and less poofy. My dress was by Mori Lee. It was a ball gown style with a sweetheart neckline.

She added this lace trimming all by hand. I felt so terrible that it took her hours but it came out so beautiful in the end.

Of course she made her dress too…

…and I had asked her to make a dress for my flower girl…

Mom had so much fun designing both her and the flower girl dress. And so, this is how the baby dress ideas  manifested.  When I was younger, she used to doll me up everywhere we go and take photos. She no longer dresses me haha but hopefully, if my husband and I ever have a girl, I hope she will doll her up too.
